Super Saturday Activities, Day 3, 20 October

Super Saturday is an optional day. It offers a range of practical hands-on workshops, a field trip, grove walk and pizza night. Participants can pick and choose activities that meet their needs and interests. Each event requires a separate registration and related fee, again included in the online conference registration options.

Tastebook™ Live Workshop

NSW DPI, 9am – 10.30am, 20 October 2018

Buses will depart for NSW DPI from the Rules Club at 8.30am . Bus departs for Table Olive Workshop and Field Tour around 10.45am giving Tastebook Live participants enough time to select another Saturday event.

At the live version of the AOA’s highly popular Tastebook™ sensory development program, delegates will get to taste and workshop a range of EVOOs and Table Olives with workshop leaders, sensory science researcher, Dr Soumi Paul Mukhopadhyay, and AOA head Judge, Shane Cummins. Numbers are limited so be quick to secure your seat at this event.

Table Olive Workshop, Grove Walk & Pizza Night

11:30am to 4:30pm Saturday 20 October

Wollundry Grove Olives

Internationally recognized Table Olive consultant, Linda Costa, will lead a half-day workshop on Table Olive production at Joo-Yee and Bruce Spinks’, Wollundry Grove. A bus will depart from the Rules Club at 11:00am. The workshop will expand on the critical success criteria for a high quality table olive operation. At the conclusion of the workshop, delegates will participate in a Grove Walk followed by a Pizza night to finish off a great 2018 Conference. The bus will return to the Rules Club at 8:00pm.

Field Day Tour, Grove Walk & Pizza Night

Visit Junee Licorice and Chocolate Factory and Coolamon Cheese

Visit two of the Riverina’s most famous tourist icons on a guided bus tour specially designed for olive conference delegates. Enjoy a delicious lunch at The Millroom restaurant before going on a guided tour of the licorice and chocolate production facilities. Then we are off to Coolamon Cheese for a tour of the facility and a cheese tasting. We finish off the day with a Grove Walk at Wollundry Grove and pizza night hosted by Joo-Yee and Bruce Spinks. Our bus will depart for the Rules Club at 8pm.
